And So It Begins . . .

My Mom has just left for New York City. She will be gone for a week. There will be only me, my Dad and my 11-year-old brother (excluding the cats) in the house for seven days. I am outnumbered. Mom usually does most of the scheduling for school and stuff, and Dad doesn't have much experience. And my brother is sick. I am doomed. Send yarn.

My condolences. Eat chocolate. Theo’s is the best. Watch Star Trek too. And break out the silk and cashmere lace weight. Hey I know! Make a sock monkey! Easy, fun, and dang cute! See you at knitting group. ~Emma

I'm sorry I'm gone! Maybe the cats (all females) will be on your side! Do you think Mittens could be trained to say "Mew!" in Dad's ear when it's time for knitting club? :)

I love you!

Love, Mom

I love that your mom (hi!!!!!) comments from afar. But you are, indeed, doomed to be outnumbered! As a female in a household of one male dog, two male cats, two men and a teen girl, I totally know how you feel! :-) Chocolate, knitting, a nap for escape... hmmm..... you'll survive and it'll hopefully be different & fun!
